RECITAL

INFORMATION

WHAT IS A RECITAL?

Edgez Dance offers a spring recital each year that offers our students a professional
environment for their performance. This allows them to present the results of a year’s
hard work, dedication, and progress to their families and friends.

WHY BE A PART OF A RECITAL?

A huge part of dance training is learning through performance. Performance opportunities can not only prepare students for a possible career in dance but contribute to success in other non-dance activities. The rehearsal process is a tremendous learning experience as well. Dedication to the recital is the responsibility of both students and their parents.

WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE MY PARTICIPATE IN RECITAL?

All students at Edgez Dance are expected to participate in our spring recital. We believe
it can be discouraging to some students when they hear they are not going to be
performing like everyone else, having pictures done, or getting a costume.

We will have an end date posted for the student within the recital classes who do not want to participate in the recital.

From time to time Edgez Dance will offer non-recital, short session, or summer classes that do not require recital participation.
